Goho-zen Menu (Lunch)


Hors d'oeuvre
jellied cake of sweet corn potage
served with mizuna, corn and shrimp sprinkled with yuzu zest


Seasonal Platter
your choice of:
sashimi of the day,
bonito, flounder and squid
or
grilled perch carpaccio
served on a bed of vegetables with a truffled dressing
or
ripe tomato salad served with onions and a jellied sweet-soy dressing


Main Course
five individual dishes served on a lacquered tray:
- deep fried hairtail and baby yam served with grated radish,
- sticky rice with grilled eel and sesame, served with a thickend bonito broth sauce,
- grilled saury, glazed with it's intestines flavored with soy sauce,
- new potatoes and beef simmered in a sweet-soy broth,
- dish of the day

Rice and Noodle dish
your choice of:
plain rice served with a fragrant miso soup (akadashi) and pickles,
or
udon (thick wheat noodles) served either hot or cold
